Lifestyle Family Photo Session – Davie, Broward Fl
I was a little nervous to photograph this family, that’s because the pretty mama you see here is a great friend and photographer. I know a photographer’s eyes are the most critical when it comes to images, so I had to deliver images that she would absolutely love, just like I do with all my clients of course!
Melissa had photographed me and my family earlier this year and it was the first time I had been in front of the camera with my family. It was amazing to experience from start to finish what my clients feel during the session, from the time I picked wardrobe and location to seeing my images come to life and making a beautiful album. For me it was a completely different outlook on the session and I learned many things, most importantly that what matters is capturing the love, details, and natural/organic relationship within the family members.
Now it was Melissa’s family’s turn to be photographed, and I had the honor to do so. She also wanted that organic look and natural photos instead of posed ones, I was so excited because I love going that direction. For this session we rented a VW Voltzwagen Camper Van, which Melissa had been dreaming of, and took it out to a field in Davie. The girls had beautiful braids, custom made flower headpieces, and boho outfits that coordinated perfectly with each other. Looking at them through my camera was wonderful, I felt the love they had for each other. The camper was a definite PLUS as it allowed us to create beautiful memories with a retro-vintage look.
The family session was a success, we got to capture so many amazing photographs and most importantly they are in love with them. They will soon make an album and wall gallery for their new home, and that makes me so happy!
Thank you my friend for trusting me to do your family session which you awaited for so long 🙂
If you ever wanted to do a session with a homey feel, who says it can’t be done at a studio? All the images from this session were created in my studio.
We set up curtains and even a bed (well not really) but it looks like a bed 🙂
I loved how these came out and excited for this beautiful couple who I photographed a little over a year ago for their engagement session. They live overseas now and booked a session with me as soon as they found out they were going to come visit South Florida. Now they can take these beautiful memories home as they await for their little princess. So happy for you guys, congratulations!
One of my favorite things as a photographer is to see my client’s families grow. It’s so special to be able to capture them in different moments.
I photographed this beautiful family about 2 years ago when they were expecting their first child, I did his newborn photos and now had the honor of capturing their second maternity belly. I can’t wait to do their little princess’ session in a few weeks.
I loved how we were able to capture some images of the family, photographing toddlers at this age could be challenging but we were able to get some great ones.
Mama also brought her ballet shoes, it was definitely beautiful to incorporate this into the session. During her first maternity session, she wore the same tutu and danced some Flamenco for me while I captured some stunning images.
This session was very special to me, it was for my niece and nephew. I photographed my niece in October a week after she was born and we captured some amazing newborn images, now she is 9 months and I wanted to capture this special time. This stage is one of my favorites to photograph. Babies between 6-12 months who sit independently and don’t walk yet are great to photograph (as we know once they walk there is no stopping them lol). The chunky baby rolls, feet, cheeks, clapping, foot in mouth, smiles, giggles, and funny faces are just so adorable.
I started the session with a simple clean and organic background to showcase those features and expressions we want to remember. Then we took some photos of my nephew with some cute vintage suspenders and cap and moved on to doing some cute sibling photos. When photographing small children there must be patience and love.
We then started setting up for the rose vintage scene, simplicity is always something I strive for, my main goal is to feature the subject and have them be the main focus, everything else is garnishes. My favorite images are the ones of her beautiful big eyes and lashes, she is such a beauty.
I’m not going to say it all went perfect, she cried a few times, but my job is to make my client comfortable and relaxed no matter what their age is. I use different techniques to make them smile and capture those little details we want to remember.
Being summer I also wanted to create a scene that was happy and bright, I used yellow and call it sunshine. I love how the flowers and layers compliment the little outfit.
Lastly we did a flower milk bath in a vintage tin bucket I have. Using some milk and lukewarm water she was happy to bathe and had a splashing time. Let’s just say the studio was a little bit of a mess afterwards, but it was well worth it!
I absolutely love how these came out! Don’t miss the chance to capture these special moments with me. All the little outfits and props are property of Cindy Farache Photography and available to my clients for their sessions.
This little beauty came to me at 15 days old, her mom called me a little bit of last minute to schedule a session with me. I luckily had a spot for them and we were able to capture these beautiful images of her.
Nothing makes me happier during these sessions than sleeping babies and smiles, and she gave me several smiley faces with dimple and all, isn’t she gorgeous?
Congrats to this family on their new little bundle of joy!
In April I surprised my daughter with a girls trip to Paris, she had been dreaming of going there for several years and we did it with 3 of her best friends and their moms.
In my head I imagined photographing them in front of the Eiffel Tower, in the streets, and gardens of this beautiful city. We arrived in full spring and flowers were blooming everywhere, what a dream for any photographer. I arranged to have two outfits for the girls to wear. The one with The Tour de Eiffel I wanted a more editorial look, so we made “Bonjour” shirts for the girls, and bought black French berets for them. Once we arrived at the location we were surrounded by a sea of people….I looked around and found a spot by a rooftop that worked perfectly, achieving the look I wanted for this image. This photograph was later selected as one of the top ten images for children’s photography by “Inspire Digital or Not Fine Art Magazine”.
On Sunday, the third day, we decided to head out of the city and take a train to the outskirts of Paris, to a little town called Giverny, best know to be the home of Monet. As we walked down the streets there was beauty everywhere, houses paved with old stones, wooden doorways, flowers coloring the sidewalks and streets, it was like being in a dream. We then entered Monet’s house, walking out into his gardens you can see the inspiration and beauty that surrounded him, beautiful tulips of all pastels, reflections of the colors of the sky and scenery on the lake while water lilies float in it, and the wooden bridges that connect the grounds is breathtaking. You can definitely see his paintings right in front of you. We went mid day and the lighting was brutal, the grounds were filled with tourists and it was nearly impossible to photograph the girls in their beautiful princess dresses we had taken with us all the way from home. As we walked around to find a spot people were taking photos of them and telling them how beautiful they looked. I was running out of options for a shaded spot and little people in the background as we walked around, but as we turned back to the exit I found it! The girls held each other while tulips surrounded them, it was a dream come true!
Walking around the streets I found a Children’s Atelier shop, there was a beautiful gold dress on the showcase that drew me in. Once I came inside and saw it I fell in love and had to buy it, when would I have the opportunity to buy a handmade French couture dress for my daughter and the studio? My daughter was a little resilient to wear it but I finally convinced her as we arrived at the top of the beautiful Montmartre hill and the Basilique du Sacre Coeur, her friends all had a chance to model the dress as well, and as I took photos of them and spectators would stop to also take pictures of them.
During our visit we also dined at the famous Laduree Café, as I walked around I found that the light seeping through the heavy velvet curtains would make a beautiful image, so I asked my daughter to look out the window while I snapped the image.
Our mother daughter trip will always be cherished and forever remembered in our hearts, and we are so fortunate to have these images captured for the memories we created.
